5 people displaced after fire tears through Stafford County home

PHOTOS: Five people were displaced after a house fire broke out on Sunday afternoon in Stafford County.

Firefighters with the Stafford County Fire and Rescue Department were called to a two-story home at around 4 p.m. along Willow Lane, near Red Oak Lane.

Responding crews were met with heavy fire showing from the back and side of the home. Officials said they worked quickly to search the house and extinguish the fire inside and outside the home.

Officials said the windy conditions made it harder for firefighters as they worked to extinguish the fire.

No injuries were reported and the occupants were able to safely escape.

As a result, two adults and three children were displaced. Two other houses were moderately damaged during the incident.
