Jump in call volume has Kaysville firefighters on pace for record year

PHOTOS: Growth in Kaysville has increased demand for public safety, according to Kaysville firefighters. On Sunday evening, the Kaysville Fire Department shared a social media update highlighting recent call volumes and showcasing several of their notable responses over the past few days.

Kaysville Fire officials said the department is on track to set a record for the number of calls requesting assistance. โ€œIt has been another busy week for our department, with 70 total responses, for an average of 10 calls per day. Overall, the departmentโ€™s call volume is 20 percent higher than at this time last year, placing Kaysville Fire on pace for its busiest year,โ€ the post read.

In the post, officials said itโ€™s been โ€œanother busy weekโ€ after firefighters were dispatched to a structure fire Sunday night. They said the fire was burning on the balcony of an apartment unit. โ€œOur firefighters were able to quickly contain the fire before it caused significant damage,โ€ the post read.
