First responders rescue woman struck by TRAX train in downtown Salt Lake City

PHOTOS: A woman in downtown Salt Lake City was struck by a TRAX train and had to be pulled out from underneath the train by first responders. The incident happened around 8:40 p.m., according to the Utah Transit Authority. Officials reported that a woman ran across Main Street at 300 South.

Officials said she was hit by a northbound Blue Line train coming into Gallivan Plaza Station. The Utah Transit Authority reported 15โ€“30-minute delays on the TRAX Blue and Green lines Saturday evening due to a train-versus-person incident. No details were released about specific injuries, but she was transported in non-life-threatening condition to the hospital to be checked out.
