Temple Fire & Rescue has received a $10,000 donation to aid their mission to serve the community, the department has announced. Temple Fire & Rescue announced that the $10,000 grant was given by BKV, an energy company that, according to their website, prides itself on community engagement.
According to the department, the money will help them purchase a second swift water boat, which they say will “enhance their ability to serve and protect their community.” “We appreciate your support for first responders,” Temple Fire & Rescue said in a post on social media. The City of Temple states that Temple Fire & Rescue responds to an average of over 12,500 requests for service each year.
