Lubbock firefighter to compete in World Police and Fire games

VIDEO: Combining his love of running and serving the community, Lubbock firefighter Chase Green will be competing in the 1500-meter race against other athletes in the World Police and Fire Games. โ€œYeah it was kind of fun competing at the U.S. Police and Fire Games, getting a gold medal there,โ€ Green said. โ€œThey then gave me the opportunity to represent the U.S. at these world games so they kind of got us together, gave me some Team U.S.A. stuff, so it feels pretty cool being able to do that and represent the U.S. and then specifically Lubbock Fire.โ€ On top of that, Green is following closely in his dadโ€™s footsteps. Tim Green, who also served as a Lubbock firefighter, competed in the same games. Tim says he is happy to be by Chaseโ€™s side during his journey and loves that he and his son can share a love of what they do everyday.
