PHOTOS: A large brush fire, dubbed the Feed Yard Fire, burned 100 acres west of Rising Star on Sunday.
Around 3:30 p.m., The Rising Star Volunteer Fire Department units from Cisco, Carbon, Cross Plains responded to a brush fire off of County Road 266.
Those departments, along with the Texas A&M Forest Service, spent the evening controlling the blaze, with SEATs (Single Engine Air Tankers) filling up out of Lake Brownwood.
As of 9 p.m. Sunday night, the fire has been 100% contained and all units have been released.
