VIDEO: Firefighters put out a boat fire that started Saturday night, according to Austin-Travis County EMS. The fire happened at the South Shore Marina, near the Colorado River and Lake Travis. “I had seen through the sliding glass door in the window area, this huge ball of fire kind of go up into the air,” said Charlie Day, who owns a condo connected to the marina that caught on fire. Charlie and his dad, Tim, went down to the marina to assess the damage. They said that while their property was fine, as many as four boat slips were impacted. “It did a million dollars’ worth of damage,” Tim said. “Everybody was on this really quickly. It could have been a lot worse.” Firefighters with Lake Travis Fire Rescue responded to the marina around 10:55 p.m.
