‘Oh no, he’s coming’: Nolensville first responders deliver baby in ambulance

VIDEO/PHOTOS: A Nolensville family will have a wonderful story to tell for years to come after the birth of their baby in a rolling ambulance this weekend. The family was on their way to the hospital early Saturday morning, Oct. 4, when the mother’s contractions became more intense.

The couple, Tanner and Hannah Withrow, were rushing to a Nashville hospital to deliver their third child but suddenly felt like they were not going to make it. That’s when they were driving by the Amish Market on Nolensville Road and spotted a Nolensville police car.

Tanner pulled in and asked the officer for help. “By the time I get five minutes down the road, she’s like, ‘Oh no, I think he’s coming,’” he said. “I was thinking, ‘We are not going to make it there. Oh no, he’s coming,’” Hannah said. “I’m sure I was as white as a ghost; I was freaking out,” Tanner added.
