VIDEO: Franklin’s Fire Department has been kept on its toes in July, according to their latest run report released on social media. With a total of 975 calls logged, rescue and EMS demands dominated the service’s time, accounting for a whopping 67 percent of their activities.
Out of these, 506 were direct EMS calls, offering a stark reminder of how critical first responders are to the community’s well-being. The data, made public by the City of Franklin, TN – Municipal Government, also highlighted that false alarms were the second most common nuisance, with 121 incidents disrupting the department’s operations. Aside from the day-to-day duties, the department was also involved in notable mutual aid efforts across the region. One such instance on July 11, required a response to a rollover crash with entrapment. This particular accident saw a truck carrying pool chemicals lose control and plunge down an embankment, leading to a patient’s extrication and a hazardous materials response.
