Watertown Fire Rescue Responds to a Structure Fire

On Tuesday, November 4th at approximately 7:20pm, Watertown Fire Rescue responded to a residential structure fire. Crews arrived on the scene to find smoke and flames showing from a single-family residence bedroom window. Firefighters quickly initiated an aggressive attack, containing the fire to a bedroom and hallway, preventing further spread throughout the home.

All occupants were confirmed to be safely accounted for; however, a family pet was found deceased during a secondary search. No firefighter or civilian injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. Initial response included Battalion 1, Engine 4, Engine 1 and Medic 4. Watertown Fire Rescue was assisted by Watertown Police Department for traffic control and Watertown Utilities.
