Multiple fire crews battle Goose Creek structure fire

Fire crews from five agencies battled a structure fire at a townhouse complex on Wednesday afternoon. Crews responded to a reported structure fire at the 4000 block of Harbour Lake Drive in the Patriots Place Townhomes community at 3:35 p.m. Officials say the fire affected a building that contained six units, with four of them being occupied at the time. The fire was brought under control within 20 minutes of the first units arriving on scene. Crews said several residents were displaced in the fire and the American Red Cross was requested to assist those who were affected. The Goose Creek Rural Fire Department, Joint Base Charleston Fire Department, Hanahan Fire Department, C&B Fire Department and Caromi Fire Department all responded to the scene.
