Charleston County Emergency Medical Services Division Chief Terry Kindred was honored on Thursday with a posthumous promotion. During a celebration of life event, Kindred was promoted to Assistant Chief, according to a Facebook post from Charleston County Government. His promotion to assistant chief is โan honor that reflects his extraordinary leadership, compassion, and lasting impact on his team, patients, and the EMS profession,โ Charleston County Government officials said. โCharleston County is grateful for his service and the difference he made in the lives of so many.โ Kindred passed on April 30 at the age of 53 from natural causes, says spokesperson Chloe Field. Kindred first joined Charleston County EMS in 2002.
