Tiverton home heavily damaged by fire

VIDEO: An investigation is underway after a two-alarm fire broke out at a home in Tiverton Friday morning. Crews responding to the scene on Lee Way around 4 a.m. found heavy flames coming from the home, according to Deputy Fire Chief Joshua Ferreira. A 12 News crew saw the roof of the home completely destroyed, with smoke pouring out of it. All of the residents made it out on their own and no injuries were reported. Crews are still working to put out hot spots, according to Ferreira, but most of the fire is knocked down.

โ€œA lot of our firefighters are from the community. They might know these people, but they just do their job when they are called to do it,โ€ Ferreira said. The cause is under investigation by the town fire marshal and the state fire marshal.
