VIDEO: The East Providence Police Department has closed portions of Veterans Memorial Parkway due to a brush fire, Friday morning.
The roads were reopened before 8:30 a.m. The department says the brush fire is in the wooded area of Veterans Memorial Parkway and South Broadway, and crews have blocked off access to the area. The intersections of Pawtucket Avenue and Veterans Memorial Parkway as well as Veterans Memorial Parkway and South Broadway, were closed. The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
