Firefighters respond to chemical odor call in Bristol

Firefighters responded to a call about a chemical odor at a Bristol facility on Wednesday.

The Bristol Fire Department responded to Old Ferry Road for the odor. The department says overheated forklift batteries that were still charging created an irritant and carbon monoxide. Crews disconnected the batteries and ventilated the building, the department said.
