One person died after a vehicle crashed into a tree and caught on fire in Lebanon County early Monday morning.
According to State Police in Bowmansville, Troopers responded to a single-vehicle crash on the PA Turnpike in South Londonderry Township in Lebanon County at 1:03 a.m. on November 3.
Police said the vehicle was traveling west on the PA Turnpike when it exited the roadway to the north, drove onto the grass shoulder, and struck a tree. The vehicle then caught fire and became fully engulfed in flames.
Police said the Lawn Fire Department extinguished the fire and located the driver inside.
The driver was declared dead at the scene. No other passengers were located.
The identity of the driver is unknown. Pennsylvania State Police are investigating.
