Multiple fire departments and other emergency personnel were dispatched to the scene of a brush fire in York County Tuesday afternoon, according to emergency dispatch. The fire was reported shortly before 1 p.m. near the 800 block of Flintville Road and near Booker Road and Atom Road in Peach Bottom Township, dispatch said. The fire reportedly covered two acres of land and spread quickly, pushed by the wind. Two structures on the property, a barn and a house, were threatened by the flames, but firefighters were able to get the blaze under control before they were damaged. Fire companies from York, Hartford, and Lancaster were called to the scene. The fire was under control by 4 p.m., according to Dan Blake, assistant fire chief of operations with the Delta-Cardiff Fire Company.
