VIDEO/PHOTOS: On the Mulberry Street Bridge above a derailment scene in the heart of the Capital City, Harrisburg Bureau of Fire Chief Brian Enterline spoke of the concerns involved with such a scene. โItโs the unknown,โ Enterline told abc27 News. โTrains carry a lot of things. Itโs how we get our commerce from Point A to Point B.โ The Dauphin County Hazardous Materials Response Team was initially dispatched to Saturdayโs derailment, which was called in just after 3 p.m. A Norfolk Southern Railway train derailed near the Amtrak station. Approximately ten cars came off the tracks, a spokesperson told abc27 News. The hazmat team was cancelled on the way as no hazardous materials were involved in the incident. One car, a tanker car intended to carry sodium hydroxide, had initially caused concern. The car, Enterline said, was empty. Hopper cars involved were carrying cement as well, the chief said.
