A stretch of U.S. Route 30 was closed Sunday evening as firefighters battled a house fire. The two alarm fire broke out in a neighborhood in Paradise Township off U.S. 30 east of Abbottstown, on Altland Avenue just east of the York-Adams line.
The highway, a vital route through York and Adams counties, was closed from West Canal Road to Moulstown Road, according to 511PA. One firefighter was injured. Crews from across Adams and York counties responded. It took about 45 minutes for crews to bring the fire under control.
