VIDEO: On Saturday, a blessing was held for the Harford Volunteer Fire Company’s new fire truck in Susquehanna County.
Last month, the old truck caught fire. The fire company said it believed the issue was in its electrical system.
The truck was blessed at the first congregational church along State Route 2063.
“We’re being together to celebrate advent and community and the fact that after a motor vehicle incident on Route 81, the fire company lost one of its treasured fire trucks, and we are now inaugurating a brand new one with a hands-on prayer that will unite us all,” said Reverend William Hagenbuch, of the First Congregational Church.
The community gathered at the fire truck blessing also enjoyed some holiday lights, food, and hot cocoa here in Susquehanna County.
