Fairview Township adds another ambulance to fleet

VIDEO: Another ambulance will soon be on the road serving residents of Fairview Township. Erie County Executive Brenton Davis announced Thursday that $170,000 in gaming funds will make that happen. Davis said this is part of a $2 million investment over the past two years to improve emergency response times.ย A check was presented to Fairview Township officials to purchase an ambulance from the Lake Shore Fire Department. The ambulance will be given to Fairviewโ€™s designated EMS provider, the West County Paramedic Association. The associationโ€™s executive director called it a huge win. โ€œIt was reassessed in the last year, itโ€™s got a very low amount of mileage on it, and in essence, is a brand new ambulance for us. So weโ€™re able to put this in service in the Fairview Township area, where it will still continue to be serving those Fairview Township residents where it was initially,โ€ said Jamie Snider, executive director of the West County Paramedic Association.
