VIDEO: Several firefighters in Chester County were honored for their brave actions that saved the life of a young boy.
The Action Cam was at the ceremony in West Chester on Wednesday morning.
Back on November 9, 2024, crews responded to a house fire in Pennsbury Township where a child was left trapped inside.
Members of the Longwood, Kennett, and Po-Mar-Lin fire companies risked their lives to go into the burning home and bring him to safety.
The Chester County of Emergency Services awarded the honorees with the William H. “Pop” Winters award for their heroism.
The award is named after Chief Winters, who was the Chester County Fire Marshal for nearly 40 years.
It’s presented to Chester County first responders who exemplify leadership, dedication, professionalism, commitment, and service to the community.
