An ambulance association received a sizable boost to help communicate in the field thanks to a grant.
Reinholds Community Ambulance accepted a $9,825.26 grant from Energy Transfer, a pipeline company, to buy two mobile radio systems for its response vehicles.
โLancaster County upgraded its countywide radio system to Linear Simulcast Modulation technology, and we are in the process of purchasing new mobile radios to coordinate with their system,โ said Reinholds Community Ambulance Office Manager Jessica Nino. โThis grant from Energy Transfer has greatly enhanced our communications and will ultimately help our members improve emergency response.โ
โCommunication is critical during emergency situations, and the need for compatibility among radio systems is very real,โ said Josh Snyder, Lead Specialist, Public Affairs at Energy Transfer.
