Early Tuesday morning, the North Bay Fire District (NBFD) reports that the Hauser Fire Station was engulfed in flames, prompting a swift response from multiple fire departments. At approximately 1:00 a.m. units from North Bend and North Bay Fire arrived at the scene to find the station and its apparatus fully involved in the fire.
The metal structure posed challenges for gaining access, but North Bend Fire managed to cut through the apparatus bay doors, allowing crews to extinguish the blaze. Additional support came from Coos Bay Fire, which provided personnel, and Charleston Fire, which supplied a water tender. Fortunately, no one was present at the station during the fire. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
