VIDEO/PHOTOS: Firefighters from Eugene Springfield Fire (ESF) responded to a house fire near Dorris Ranch early on May 28. Crews were dispatched just before 4:00 a.m. to the 600 block of Dorris Street following reports of a possible fire. Upon arrival, firefighters discovered a fully involved home and outbuilding. Fortunately, all occupants were accounted for, ESF said. The location on Dorris Street falls outside Springfield city limits and is part of the Willakenzie Fire District, which contracts with the city of Springfield for fire services. Willakenzie is one of seven fire and water districts served by ESF through contractual agreements with their respective cities.
