VIDEO: A dozen people have been displaced following an apartment fire in Gresham early Wednesday morning. Just after 3:30 a.m., Gresham Fire crews responded to a fire at the Highland Park Apartments at 24050 Southeast Stark Street. An alert tenant reportedly activated the fire alarm which helped safely evacuate people. Officials say the fire started in a second-floor unit with flames spreading into the attic space above four units. No injuries were reported. The Red Cross is helping 12 people with temporary housing. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
