VIDEO: The Lawton City Council has approved a new Collective Bargaining Agreement with the International Association of Firefightersโ local chapter. The new agreement lasts for three years. It covers important areas such as wages, benefits, working conditions, and more for members of the Lawton Fire Department. One major provision raises the starting annual salary for Lawton Firefighters by 13%, bringing it to $54,000. โThis agreement reflects a strong partnership between the City and the IAFF Local 1882, reinforcing our commitment to public safety, competitive compensation and professional working conditions for our firefighters,โ said Deputy City Manager Dewayne Burk.
