Monroe Township firefighters respond to 6 emergencies in just over 1 hour

VIDEO: In just over one hour on Monday, the Monroe Township Fire Department responded to six serious emergencies with help from several neighboring fire departments. One of those emergencies was a large house fire off Clover Valley Road that left little behind.

Crews remained on scene for several hours, staying into the early morning to monitor for flare-ups. Photos shared by the department show the extent of the damage and the size of the response as firefighters worked around the clock to put out the flames.

โ€œIt is stressful sometimes, but again, we train for that,โ€ said Monroe Township Fire Battalion Chief Josh Harrison. โ€œSometimes you just gotta take a deep breath, relax and know that everythingโ€™s under control with good crews.โ€

The house fire broke out just minutes after a commercial fire elsewhere in the township, where Harrison was already on scene.
