The Grand Forks Fire Department responded to Tri-State Paving for a fire in an asphalt processing plant Wednesday afternoon. The call came in shortly before 1:00 p.m. at 2250 N. 69th Street. Crews say the fire inside the plant was moving towards a semi trailer fuel source. The department says the fire was quickly controlled.
Two employees were checked over by Altru Ambulance personnel for smoke inhalation, but declined going to the hospital. Grand Forks Police, Nodak Electrical, and Environmental Emergency also responded to the scene.
