VIDEO: It was an intense day of flames, smoke, and fighting it all, as a wildfire jumped containment lines Wednesday morning. 20-to-30-foot flames were witnessed towering behind homes off Inverness Road, even one where a firefighter lives. For other residents in the neighborhood, the flames were also creeping onto their homes too. โIt was pretty scary, I was at work and my granddaughter calls me and says you better get home it [flames] is at the fence and it might jump the fence,โ says Hubert resident Darlene Sweet. The Crown Point 1 Fire has been burning in the Hubert area since it broke out Tuesday. On Wednesday, fire crews provided an optimistic morning update, indicating that the fire was largely contained until around 10:40 AM when the fire breached the containment lines calling for all hands on deck.
