PHOTOS: Officials are investigating after a fire broke out at a home in Gaston County. Crews responded to reports of a house fire in the 1000 block of St. Marks Church Road in Crouse at 3:18 a.m. Saturday. The rear of the structure had already collapsed by the time crews arrived. The fire was brought under control by 4:14 a.m. Thankfully, there were no injuries to civilians or firefighters. The property damage is estimated at $100,000. The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Office of Emergency Management and Fire Services.
