Anderson has been with the cityโs Fire/Rescue department since 2006 and most recently served as Battalion Chief.
โExcited for the department, excited for the city,โ said Anderson. โWeโve got a lot of positive things going on. Itโs not just about me, itโs about everyone that works here and the city at large.โ
During the swearing-in ceremony, Anderson announced the implementation of a new 24/72 work schedule, making Greenville the first department of its size in the state to do so.
The new schedule is expected to help the department recruit and retain good firefighters.
