Five people were taken to a hospital after a house fire in Burlington on Tuesday, according to a Burlington Police Department news release. Burlington firefighters responded to a house fire on South Beaumont Avenue at 12:43 p.m. Arriving firefighters found heavy fire and smoke coming from the front right side of the house and were told everyone inside had evacuated. Firefighters searched the house and didnโt find anyone inside. The fire was under control in about 20 minutes. Hot spots were then put out for another 30 minutes. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. Four adults and one child were taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
