Thousands of dollars dedicated to new First Responder training facility in Oswego County

A new First Responder training center will be built in Oswego County.

Officials say the Fulton Public Safety Training Center will enhance coordination between and training for fire departments, law enforcement, EMS and other first response agencies.

“By having a regional shared training hub the city will be able to cut costsโ€ฆnot just on cost savings but safety, readiness, and taxpayer dollars,” says State Senator Chris Ryan.

Senator Ryan announced $250,000 in grant money will go towards the project.

The facility will be located at an existing property on South 12th Street. Redevelopment of the structure is expected to begin in May.
