Multiple businesses damaged in Lockport plaza fire

VIDEO: ย The City of Lockport Fire Department responded to reports of a fire in a plaza on Thursday night.ย Fire crews responded to Walnut and Washburn Streets a little after 9 p.m. Fire Chief Luca Quagliano says the plaza houses somewhere between 8-10 businesses.ย At the time of the fire, only a liquor store on the first floor was open, but everyone inside was able to safely evacuate. Officials said that most of the fire was inside the storage room of a convenience store in the building. Several of the businesses in the building will likely be closed for an extended time to deal with damage according to Chief Quagliano. The fire was able to be brought under control within 2-hours according to the City of Lockport Fire Department.
