Liverpool firefighter brings EMS motorcade to son admitted to children’s hospital

VIDEO: A small but powerful EMS motorcade passed by the Golisano Children’s Hospital on Wednesday.

EMS crews were out there to honor David Ingram Jr., a 6-year-old boy suffering from Non-Hodgkinโ€™s Burkittโ€™s Lymphoma. He’s admitted to the hospital.

His father, Lieutenant David Ingram, a 16-year veteran of the Liverpool Fire Department, brought them there. He said the show of solidarity from the men and women that he admires the most would be the greatest medicine. He said his son has fallen in love with public safety.

“This is a very big fight for a 6-year-old,” said Ingram. “Everybody showing up with their support is completely amazing and overwhelming. I have nothing but gratitude for our local departments that have reached out to us.”

Members of the Syracuse Police Department, Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office and fire departments from across the county participated.
