Los Alamos Fire Department Management & Union Express Appreciation For Community’s Support

Los Alamos Firefighters Union members and management at the Los Alamos Fire Department often express their gratitude for the support they receive from the community.

Union Local 3279 Sergeant at Arms Andres Madueño is a Driver Engineer at LAFD, where he has worked for 16 years. Fire Marshal Colorado Cordova has worked at LAFD for 19 years. He and Madueño stopped by the newsroom at the Los Alamos Daily Post last week to discuss what that support means to firefighters and their families.

Fire Marshal Cordova pointed to the special appreciation dinner that Enterprise Bank & Trust has provided to firefighters and their families for many years at Christmastime. “Everyone looks forward to the dinner, which wouldn’t be possible without the bank’s support,” he said. “We really do appreciate that Liddie Martinez and the bank provide this for us.”

Enterprise Bank & Trust Regional President Liddie Martinez commended the local firefighters and expressed her appreciation for the safety they provide to her banks in Los Alamos and White Rock and for the entire community.

“I have been exceedingly impressed with our Fire Department,” Martinez said. “Since I first came to work at the Bank more than 9 years ago, their guidance, lightning-quick response, and highly trained team have worked flawlessly to protect us and our community. We are ever grateful.”

Driver Engineer Madueño agreed and also expressed gratitude to everyone in the County and community for their care and support.  “They really take care of us, and that means so much,” he said.
