VIDEO: Fire crews in New Jersey were responding to a wildfire in Burlington County. SKYFOX was over the scene where heavy smoke and flames could be seen. The fire broke out Friday morning in Shamong Township, Burlington County.ย The fire was burning in the Wharton State Forest.ย Fire crews were on the scene and monitoring the situation.ย Several roads in the area have been closed as a result of the fire. Those include local forest roads, Tuckerton Road, and Bulldozer Road.ย The Batona Trail is also closed between Coranza Road and Bulldozer Road.ย Fire crews were asking residents and visitors to avoid the area.ย The cause of the fire is unknown at this time. Fire officials have not yet said if any structures or residences have been or will be under threat because of the fire.ย
