VIDEO: Crews from multiple departments battled a fire at a car wash in Londonderry Friday night. The Londonderry Fire Department said firefighters were called to Alan’s Car Wash on Hampton Drive just before 11 p.m. Officials said the fire had already spread to the roof when firefighters arrived. The fire was put under control just before 1 a.m. Saturday, according to Londonderry fire. Officials said crews were checking for hot spots until about 2:20 a.m. Saturday.
Several witnesses emailed video of the flames to News 9. Some of the footage showed that the fire could be seen several blocks away. “It was honestly scary because we both live really close to here,” said one witness. Londonderry fire confirmed with News 9 that no one was injured from the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
