On Wednesday afternoon, reports of black smoke emerged from a residence at 3472 Rawhide Street, near Pecos Road and Hacienda Avenue. The Clark County Fire Department (CCFD) responded promptly, with Engine 25 being the first to arrive at the scene at 4:23 p.m.
A total of 38 personnel, including six engines, two trucks, two rescues, and two battalion chiefs, were dispatched to the incident. Upon arrival, CCFD Engine 25 reported a bedroom fire, which was swiftly knocked down by 4:26 p.m.
Initial crews immediately pulled lines to extinguish the fire, conducted a search of the residence, and secured utilities. Fortunately, no injuries were reported as a result of the fire. CCFD received assistance from NV Energy and Southwest Gas. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
