Fire erupts in unit at Las Vegas public storage facility

VIDEO: Firefighters responded to a fire in a public storage complex overnight on North Decatur Boulevard. Six units were damaged. According to the City of Las Vegas, firefighters received a call reporting smoke coming from a storage unit around 11:45 p.m. Sunday. The fire was contained to that storage unit, but spread to the attic. Additional Las Vegas Fire & Rescue units were called to the scene to keep the fire from spreading. The heat damaged the surrounding units. Las Vegas Metropolitan police were also on the scene for traffic control on Decatur near Lake Mead Boulevard. The fire was put out by 12:30 a.m., and no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
