$1.5M Good Neighbor Firefighter Safety Program Grant Application Period Open Now For VFDs

State Farm and the National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC) are proud to team up for the Good Neighbor Firefighter Safety Program to help resource-constrained volunteer fire departments secure needed equipment. The program launched in 2024, and due to overwhelming demand State Farm doubled its initial commitment โ€“ awarding $1 million in grants to 100 departments. View the 2024 grant infographic.

In 2025, the commitment grows even further. State Farm will award a total of $1.5 million to 150 volunteer fire departments. Each will receive a $10,000 grant to help them secure essential equipment that will improve firefighter safety, effectiveness, and efficiency and enable them to better serve their communities. Ongoing support from State Farm ensures that more volunteer fire departments have the resources they need to protect their teams and the people they serve. State Farm will also provide one-year NVFC memberships to the first 2,000 eligible applicants to give them access to all the benefits the NVFC offers.

The 2025 application form is available for three days only, from 12:00am (midnight) ET on June 4 through 11:59pm ET on June 6.
