Florida firefighters disarm naked patient who grabbed gun during medical call

Florida firefighters were able to stop a naked person in distress who suddenly became distressed and grabbed a firearm. According to Polk County, on Monday the Polk County Fire Rescue and the Haines City Fire Department responded to a medical call on Kalogridis Road where they found a patient on the floor. The county says while crews were administering treatment, the patient became combative and grabbed a firearm.

Polk County Firefighter and paramedic Brandyn Harris and HCFD engineer Justin Keene were able to neutralize the patient and grab the firearm. After the gun was secured, Keene was able to unload the firearm and place it out of reach of the victim. The Polk County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene and were told that while the patient was holding the gun, they were trying to pull the trigger.
