PHOTOS: A wildfire burning on the Krassel Ranger District in the Frank Church-River of No Return Wilderness has grown to 2,529 acres, up approximately 400 acres from the last update. The Big Bear Fire is a lightning-caused fire reported July 9. The lightning-caused fire started two miles east of Arctic Point Lookout above the Salmon River and was approximately 15-30 acres when detected. Photos show the Arctic Point Lookout wrapped in protective material.
