First Responders host National Night Out in Glendive

PHOTOS: Local emergency response and law enforcement departments hosted a community gathering at Eyer Park on Tuesday in participation of National Night Out, an annual event started 41 years ago as a way to promote better โ€œpolice-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer (and) more caring places to live.โ€

The agencies participating on Tuesday included the Glendive Police Department, Montana Department of Transportationโ€™s Motor Carrier Services, Glendive Fire Department, West Glendive Fire Department, Glendive Ambulance Service and Dawson County Sheriffโ€™s Office. Each department provided different activities and free swag for those attending the event, and food and drink vendors kept everyone fed and refreshed throughout the night.
