Crews were dispatched to a glass shop fire late Monday night in Phelps County. The Doolittle Rural Fire Protection District was dispatched to King Auto Glass at 8:05 p.m. after a witness reported heavy smoke inside the building. Upon arrival, firefighters confirmed that the business’s shop area was filled with thick smoke
After they found the fire to be coming from the back of a pickup truck, it was quickly brought under control. The building sustained minor smoke damage, and no injuries were reported. The Rolla Rural Fire Department, Phelps County Sheriff’s Department, Missouri State Highway Patrol and Phelps Health EMS assisted in the response.
