Dozens of cars burned at auto auction mall in Kansas City

The Kansas City Fire Department is investigating after dozens of cars were burned early Tuesday morning. According to KCFD, crews responded to a fire at the Manheim Auto Auction just after midnight on Skiles Road near NE Parvin Road.

When crews arrived, they reported multiple cars on fire in a rear lot of the property. KCFD said multiple trucks had to be called to the scene to get the fires under control due to the distance from the street and hydrant accessibility.

In total, approximately 25 cars burned, according to KCFD. KCFD said the fire was under control by 2 a.m. and is investigating its cause. No injuries were reported.
