Firefighters overheat while battling South Jackson house fire

VIDEO: Two Jackson firefighters were treated after overheating while battling a house fire Tuesday afternoon. According to JFD Division Chief Charles Felton, firefighters were called to Clearbook Drive for a single-story house fire just before 12:30 p.m. The vacant home sustained extensive damage, with over half of the home being burned to the ground.

One firefighter was transported to UMMC for observation after overheating. The firefighter is expected to make a full recovery. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
