The Biloxi Fire Department is partnering with the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) for the annual Fill the Boot drive.
Over the next several days, firefighters will stand at intersections with boots in hand and collect funds from drivers. The money helps the MDA with its mission to empower people with neuromuscular diseases.
Firefighters will be out at the following locations from 7 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and again from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. The fundraising campaign has been going on for 71 years.
“This enduring partnership has become a cornerstone of the fire service, demonstrating the unwavering dedication and compassion of our firefighting community,” the Biloxi Firefighters Association said in a statement.
