25,000 square foot building catches fire in Jackson

A two-story building on the 100 block of Sheppard Road caught fire in Jackson Saturday night, according to the Jackson Fire Department. According to JFD Assistant Chief Patrick Armon, the 25,000-square-foot building was vacant. The call for emergency services came in at approximately 10:30 p.m. Around 25% of the building was lost, but JFD forces extinguished the fire. No injuries have been reported at this time. The cause of the incident is under investigation.
